Ready for Takeoff

It’s been an educational journey just preparing for this trip of mine. My bags are packed and ready to go. For the past several weeks, I’ve kept a running list of things to pack and things to do before I leave. I still feel like I’m forgetting something. I always feel that way before a trip.

I have a busy and exciting week ahead of me. I’ll fly to Texas to attend and present at an archaeological conference, then I’m heading to Israel from there. I have an Israeli friend who has promised to pick me up at the airport and take me to my dorm at Ariel University. The following week, I have a meetings with the university administration and with my academic advisor.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. I really appreciate all of you. I’m going to keep this post short, but I will plan to post an update after I arrive.
